Knowing that Last Week, Tonight, is becoming the hottest topical show in the US, I thought I would try to point his show's attention toward the Royal Commision.
The only way I could figure out how was to post to the HBO discussion board that is specific to the show. Here is the link to my comments:

Hero Movies
by jws ini know this is a bit off the topic of religion, but i just got back from seeing ant man with my son.
i'm getting tired of the fact that hollywood (and in this case the action/hero genre) rarely seems to have an original thought.
has anybody noticed the same theme?.

So....
You went to see a movie based on comic book characters, and were surprised that it had a comic book plot?
Mmm hmm...

Watchtower can cite their sources after all
by wannaexit inas far as i can remember watchtower has been notorious for not citing their sources in their literature.
the most they will do is to cite their in house, long living expert by the name of scholar.
after 40 + years all i've ever read is the mantra "one scholar says" ad nauseum.

It's not "One Scholar", it's "Juan Scholar", the famous Spanish researcher. The MEPS system just has a problem translating it for the US and UK editions.

Ooh! This happened but just a few years ago. District convention at a college basketball stadium. There was one exit that was jealously guarded by some idiot attendant, and this exit, if used, was a shortcut to where I was parked. So, while he got distracted bossing some other couple, I slipped past him and walked through the doors and down the long, echoey hallway out. He noticed, and started hollering down the hallway. "What was that?" I thought. "Was that a trick of the acoustics? Sounds like someone hollering...Hmm!" Kept on going, made it to the far end. "BROTHER!!!" Opened the doors to freedom. Eff you, Napoleon! Come and get me!

"A fellow will remember a lot of things you wouldn't think he'd remember. You take me. One day, back in 1896, I was crossing over to Jersey on the ferry, and as we pulled out, there was another ferry pulling in, and on it there was a girl waiting to get off. A white dress she had on. She was carrying a white parasol. I only saw her for one second. She didn't see me at all, but I'll bet a month hasn't gone by since that I haven't thought of that girl."- Mr. Bernstein, Citizen Kane -

Best memory my sons ever had for an assembly.
The same weekend that we had our summer convention, just a few miles away was a Star Trek/Fantasy convention. My oldest really wanted to go, as a friend of his from school would also be there. So, I drove him there in the morning to spend the day. Then, since I felt guilty about it, I let his brother (who was dressed for the assembly) go as well when we got there. At lunch break, I brought him his regular clothes.
They got to see William Shatner and talk to a voice actor for various animated shows (including Clone Wars). The best Assembly Saturday THEY ever had!
